I’m currently working on the sound design for an upcoming exciting game called “Secrets of Grindea” which can, at first glance, be described as a “Zelda’ish 4up-game”.
But that’s kinda the same thing as saying “Call of Duty is Wolfenstein without monsters”
(…man, lousy analogy.)
I’m having real fun making sound effects for this game, and working with these guys (and girl) who are a bunch of turbomotivated niceys doesn’t make this job any less… you know, joyous :D
Anyway. Without giving away to much information about the game itself before its release (late 2012/early 2013) I can honestly say that my pants are somewhat moist with anticipation of the release.
Just look at that freaking cozy park!
Makes me wanna face dive in that pink tree and play with the butterflies whilst waving to that old man with the scissors, before chasing the old lady’s doves and play a round of “Egyptian Ratscrew” with that tarot-guy.

Not so bragable this one, but still a snappy, fast and funny commercial for an erotic shop.
Our pals at Gidd kindly asked me to produce a dildo-like sound, so i whipped out my… razer, nosehairtrimmer(i hate growing old) but the Xbox 360-controller turned out to do the trick, so i simply placed it in a shoe-box and recorded it with various vibration strengths, as well as recording the box “slip“‘ing off the table and hitting the ground.
See, reading this probably took you 5 times longer than actually just seeing the commercial itself :P
Our pal Peder is marrying this Canadian girl called Emily,
so me and my friends threw him a stag-party which involved him involuntarily singing some lyrics written beforehand ;)
Attendees from the wedding reported it was quite the show when the groom surprised everyone by playing this video on a big screen at the wedding dinner.
Including the unknowing bride ;)

Composed music for a Norwegian website where younger people are challenged to answer questions in order to help ghosts change from their will’o’wisp shape into a more human-like shape.
I’m not a 100% satisfied with the music. (especially the one that runs during the assignments. I like the melody, but it could’ve been done a bit more advanced.
Perhaps having a couple of versions so that each “assignment-round” feels different, just like the “round complete”-music which has two versions of the same melody.

Autumn 2009: me and my crew did a tiny light-hearted commercial for Komplett.no (probably the most renown electronics&computer-store in Norway)
Despite being just a tiny effort from us, it was lovingly received and was, among other things, placed on the frontpage of vg.no
Summer 2010: I received a call from one of Komplett’s employees. He told me that they were planning a 2.0-version and wanted to include us.
Autumn 2010: After having fun shooting the commercial in Oslo - today is the day that TV2 starts airing it.
In addition of being the composer, I am also the second singer (that guy with the Steve Jobs-turtleneck and way too much eye-makeup, and that guy with the tourist-outfit and all the camera-equipment, and the guy in orange suit)
(I received a few angry texts from people who had problems with getting the melody of their brain. (feedback I’m getting used to hear :P)

My friend and favourite motion-“graphician”, Espen Jakobsen sometimes takes part in a… not a contest but rather a series of exercises for artists in motion graphics.
The goal is simply to hone your VFX-skills by composing and uploading a swiftly-made 5second long video.
Each time there are different topics, and this time it was
“CMYK” (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black,)
Being his favorite sound artist in return, he asked me if I could add a bit of audio to this tiny creation.
I probably took me about five seconds to, by instructions from Espen himself pronounce the letters and word in my own language.
I didnt want to use too much time on this, but i still added a flute and a teenyweeny orchestral thingy.

Sommer’10:
En halvfeit danske… (eller feit halvdanske?) la ut på en 17dagers sykkeltur langs Kystriksveien.
Kindergarten ble satt på saken, og produserte (for hver dag underveis) en 17-episoders miniserie.

Nattrangel - Mus Ombord i Båten
(disse to ble også brukt i en senere Newtonsending (April ‘10) om fisk, der jeg, (som lydmikser), smetta de to låtene inn i et innslag om torsken.
Gjorde kjapt en liten skribleanimasjon om Ørna for Newton. (spol 8:33 uti sendinga)
Selv om det er meininga at det skal se ut som barnetegning, er jeg likevel ikke særlig fornøyd med animasjonene. Det ble litt dårlig tid for finpuss, og i tillegg hadde jeg bare mus å tegne med.
Lydarbeidet kan jeg derimot føle meg litt stoltere av, gitt.
